ISA100 Wireless Standard Approved as American National Standard
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has announced the approval of ISA-100.11a-2011, “Wireless Systems for Industrial Automation: Process Control and Related Applications,” as an American National Standard. This approval confirms that the open consensus standards development procedures required by ANSI, which call for participation not only of suppliers but of all key interest categories, were followed in developing the standard.

Phoenix Contact Joins ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute
The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute (ISA100 WCI) today announced that Phoenix Contact, an innovative leader of industrial connection technology, automation technology, electronic interface systems and surge protection, has recently joined the ISA100 WCI as a supplier member.
“We recognize the growing importance of wireless technologies in industrial applications and have also supported the benefits that wireless standards can bring to the user,” said Garrett Schmidt, wireless product manager, Phoenix Contact. “We are very excited to add the ISA100.11a standard to our wireless portfolio, which already includes industry recognized technologies and products.”

Eltav Wireless Monitoring Joins ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute
The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute (ISA100 WCI) today announced that Eltav Wireless Monitoring, Limited, a pioneering company offering remote valve monitoring for process automation, has joined ISA100 WCI as a supplier member.
“Wireless technology has made, and will continue to make, significant improvements to the efficiency, productivity and automation within the process industry and we plan to support ISA100.11a as the standard of choice for wireless automation and offer users a new solution when it comes to cost-effective, yet reliable wireless valve monitoring,” said Israel Radomsky, vice chairman, Eltav.

ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute Announces New ISA100.11a Product Certifications
The ISA100 Wireless Compliance Institute (WCI) today announced certifications of two more ISA100.11a wireless devices as conducted for WCI by National Technical Systems, Inc. (NTS) (NASDAQ:NTSC).
ISA100.11a wireless devices that just recently completed certification include:
Honeywell - OneWireless Adapter (HART to ISA100.11a); Model OWA100
Yokogawa - YTMX580 Multi-Input Temperature Transmitter
“The number of new additions to the portfolio of ISA100 based products is accelerating and submissions for formal ISA100.11a certification from a variety of vendors are closely following,” said Andre Ristaino, managing director of ISA100 WCI.
